Targe Innovations was incorporated early in 2005. Since incorporation our direction & philosophy hasn't changed - it has broadened.  At the core of Targe Innovations Inc. is the development of equipment for Paralympic athletes.  Sports which were born in therapy and evolved to world class high performance.  Targe wants to be a part of this evolution by developing products where none existed, undertaking research to improve existing equipment which was not meeting the increasing demands of improving athletes.

Overall, Targe wants to service the desire for excellence in its customers.  To some this means winning a medal at the pinnacle of their sport.  For others this means completing a workday pain free.  The common elements with both pursuits are body preparation, protection and maintenance.

We are often asked, “what is a targe”? (Rhymes with "LARGE")
Until the Battle of Culloden, in 1746, the “targe” was the Scottish Highlander's main means of defence in battle.  This circular shield was a light weight, sturdy form of protection.  Its size, weight and design allowed the warrior to make swift defensive and offensive movements with agility and power.
